WORKSHOP 01 — MACHINE LEARNING: FROM DATA TO DECISIONS
1. Extract the ZIP. Keep notebooks/ and data/ in the same parent folder.
2. Install Python 3.11 or newer before the workshop. In a terminal: python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
3. Run: python -m jupyterlab .
4. Open notebooks/01...ipynb. Run top to bottom. Each notebook can run independently.
5. Colab: open https://colab.research.google.com/ and use File > Upload notebook. Upload the CSV through Files, or allow the notebook to download the public dataset.
6. Internet failure: use the extracted local ZIP and preinstalled environment. The hosted notebook fallback needs internet only when no local CSV exists.
7. No installation available: pair with a working laptop or use the printed worksheet. Do not count a worksheet-only exercise as coding execution.

9. Never upload personal college data or API keys. Save your work locally; this workspace does not collect submissions.
